The Philadelphia School District Reinstates Abusive Mask Mandate
While suburbanites pushback, forcing their district to think twice
Responding to the fake pandemic’s pseudo-science, the Philadelphia School District has decided to reinstate their mask mandate for students, faculty, and staff. The district made this announcement after the health charlatan’s of Philly recommended indoor masking, since “cases” and hospitalizations have increased.
The city, however, will not bring back their indoor mask mandate, because after Philly became the first major urban location to attempt to force residents back into masking a few weeks ago, enough people refused to comply. The Health Department claimed that “decreasing hospitalizations and a leveling of case counts” were the reason they walked back their mandate just days after it went into effect, but business owners and residents who filed a lawsuit against the city’s edict likely caused the backtrack.
Out in the wealthy suburbs, Lower Merion School District in Montgomery County also brought back their mask mandate last Friday, May 20. However, in under 24 hours, they rescinded it, instead strongly recommending masks when indoors.
CBS Philly reported this story with the typical bio-fascist bias of the corporate press. After mentioning the return of forced masking in Philadelphia and other suburban schools, the phony journalist writing this article claimed that “many parents” want their children muzzled in school.
With end-of-school-year events coming up, like graduations, many parents in Lower Merion agreed their children should mask up in classrooms.
“If it keeps kids in school I think it’s worth it,” parent Barbara Mansfield said.
“I’m not surprised with all the variants out there,” one woman said.
“I think it’s definitely necessary,” Dana Carson said.
Carson’s grandson is a fifth-grader at Penn Wynn Elementary School in Lower Merion.
“I think they should have never have given up masks and my grandson said the same thing today. He said, ‘why do they keep going back and forth? Why don’t we just wear them all the time?'” Carson said.
Later in this pro-mask propaganda piece, another brainwashed adherent to the Covid Cult got a blurb, advocating for her daughters posh private school to mandate the covering of all students’ breathing holes:
“My daughter is at Shipley. I don’t know if they’re gonna go back to masking but if they do, I’m certainly on board with that as well,” Ardmore parent Honey Tishgart said.
The writer at CBS Philly did not quote a single parent or student who agreed that masking should remain optional at Lower Merion, even though the headline stated that the district had to walk back the mandate in under 24 hours of declaring it. Surely, the decision not to mandate masks came because parents and students have had enough of this nonsensical Covid theater, paired with the fact that they desire a normal end to the school year. Parents and students have obviously had it with the incompetent and politically motivated health bureaucrats and their administrative lackeys in schools who have gotten away with two plus years of scamdemic scientism.
A cursory glance at Lower Merion School District’s twitter page shows that people want an end to the biosecurity bullshit in schools:
A significant majority of comments oppose a return to universal masking. Certainly this backlash has impacted the walk back at Lower Merion.
Furthermore, bringing back forced masking is happening in light of another study, published by Professor in the Department of Microbiology at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, Beny Spira, demonstrating that masks increase infection risk and cause more serious illness.
The study, titled “Correlation Between Mask Compliance and COVID-19 Outcomes in Europe,” found that “countries with high levels of mask compliance did not perform better than those with low mask usage” while also finding a “moderate positive correlation between mask usage and deaths in Western Europe” suggesting that “the universal use of masks may have had harmful unintended consequences.”
In other words, those who wear masks are more likely to get infected and die.
Keep this study - as well over 150 others - in mind if the scientifically illiterate stooges at your child’s school want to cover faces again, like they do in the School District of Philadelphia and the Philly burbs.
And then resist.
